A brief history of the Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis & Omaha Railway Elroy-St. Paul mainline:

06/26/21

This bridge is a simple through girder bridge, converted to trail usage.
While the structure isn't very significant, but is still noteworthy of a typical structure along the Omaha Trail.
The structure is a small through girder span, crossing Sherman Creek. It is located next to Tunnel Hill Road.
Sitting on stone substructures, the bridge remains in good condition.

The author has ranked the bridge as being locally significant, due to the common design.
The photo above is looking north along the bridge. Unfortunately, it is extremely hard to get good overviews of this structure.
